Bringing EmpowerHer to your school
We partner closely with school staff to ensure smooth implementation and effective support for participating students. While our EmpowerHer facilitators are highly trained and trauma-informed, they are not licensed mental health professionals, so we require each school to designate a school liaison for the program.
Ideally, the liaison would be a school psychologist, social worker, or guidance counselor, but this is not a strict requirement. The primary role of the liaison is to:
- Assist in identifying prospective participants who would benefit most from the program.
- Keep the EmpowerHer team informed about any noteworthy situations that may affect participants’ well-being or engagement.
- Provide on-call support if a challenging emotional situation arises during a session, ensuring that students receive appropriate one-on-one guidance when needed.
This collaborative structure ensures that EmpowerHer facilitators can focus on delivering the program while schools provide the necessary mental health support when required. By working together, we create a safe, nurturing environment where participants feel supported, and their emotional needs are met throughout the program.

Cost
The EmpowerHer program is an academic year-long, 30-week immersive experience with a total program cost of $12,450. To encourage participant ownership and help offset material expenses, each student is asked to contribute a $100 program fee. The remaining costs are generously covered through a combination of corporate sponsorships, grants, and contributions from partnering schools, ensuring that all participants have access to this empowering opportunity regardless of financial circumstances.
