Brigitte Herz, the creator and director of EmpowerHer, is an experienced educator and passionate advocate for youth empowerment with over 30 years in the field of education. In 2003, she co-founded the One World Language School, where she currently serves as Executive Director, fostering cross-cultural understanding through multilingual education. Brigitte holds a B.A. in English and German Literature from McGill University, where she graduated summa cum laude, and a Master’s in Psychology from Harvard University, where she earned magna cum laude honors and was recognized on the Dean’s List for Academic Achievement.

EmpowerHer was born out of Brigitte’s deep commitment to supporting adolescent girls’ emotional well-being and resilience. She developed the EmpowerHer curriculum as part of her Harvard Capstone project, integrating research-based practices in positive psychology, trauma-informed care, and the PERMA well-being framework.

Through her combined expertise in education, psychology, and curriculum development, Brigitte has created a program designed to help adolescent girls build confidence, strengthen social connections, and develop the tools they need to thrive personally, academically, and within their communities.
